The Saskatoon Fire Department says a fire at the Asia Buffet restaurant last week caused $1 million in damages.

Firefighters were called to the restaurant on Circle Drive just after 5 a.m. CST on Oct. 6. There had been several calls of smoke and fire shooting from the roof.

A ladder crew started spraying down the building from above while firefighters smashed through the front doors of the building.

It took firefighters roughly an hour to get to the source of the blaze.

Fire investigators believe it was caused by accident.

No one was hurt.
