Police officer suffers minor injuries in Saskatoon crash

Saskatoon police say one of their officers was taken to hospital after a crash early Tuesday morning at Circle Drive and 33rd Street.

Police involved in two vehicle collision while on route to call

A Saskatoon police cruiser crashed into another vehicle on the way to a call Tuesday morning. 

The officer driving the vehicle was taken to hospital after the two-car collision. Police said in a new release that an officer's cruiser was involved in a crash around 7:50 a.m. CST at the intersection of 33rd Street West and Circle Drive.

Police said the officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries, but has since been released. The driver of the other car was not hurt. 

Both west bound lanes of 33rd Street are closed, as the investigation continues. Traffic restrictions could be in place for several hours.
