Police are investigating two separate accidents Thursday that snarled traffic and damaged parked vehicles.

The first happened just before the lunch hour near the corner of 8th Street East and Clarence Avenue. City police and RCMP collision experts were on the scene until mid-afternoon taking measurements and photographs trying to reconstruct exactly what happened.

Eastbound traffic was narrowed to one lane while they worked the scene.

An eastbound Toyota Camry, described by witnesses as been driven erratically, jumped the curb and went across a lawn, smashing into a Cadillac Escalade parked in a driveway. Both vehicles were heavily damaged.

No one was injured,

And then about 12 hours later, officers were called to the 1200 block of Kingsmere Boulevard.

A 34-year-old man from Humboldt had lost control of his vehicle and collided with two parked vehicles. The driver was not injured and the investigation to this point suggests that the Humboldt man had suffered some sort of medical distress.

He was taken to hospital. No charges are being considered.
