Merle Massie said that she knew something was wrong at the Ex last night when she saw the young man, blood all over his clothes, lying near the lost children's booth at Kidsville.

Police report that a 15-year-old male was stabbed in the chest and arms. He was taken to Royal University Hospital by M.D. Ambulance and is reported to have serious wounds but is in stable condition. A 17-year-old male has been charged with aggravated assault and a 20 year old has been charged with common assault.

Massie came into town from Biggar with her kids. She told CBC that she was walking near Kidsville just before 9 p.m. CST.

"There was security and police everywhere so, of course, your eyes pop open," she said.

"There was a young man laying where you find lost children, he was actually laying on the lost children's booth being attended to. There was blood all over his clothes."

Massie moved away from the commotion.

"I was just walking along and I looked down and there was a young man sitting on the ground right beside my left leg and I could see the handcuffs. He was sitting right next to my leg on the ground and I could see his hands were behind his back and they were in handcuffs," she said.

In a release, Saskatoon police said the suspects were quickly arrested by police and security staff at the Exhibition.

Police say the victim and both suspects knew each other. They believe this was an isolated incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
