Saskatoon police are investigating a hit-and-run at the Central Avenue rail crossing Sunday night that left a pedestrian with minor injuries.

Police said north and southbound traffic had stopped at the crossing to wait for a train to pass. When the train cleared the intersection, at about 8 p.m. CST, a light-coloured truck heading south jumped across before the crossing arm had completely raised.

The truck broke off the arm, which then hit a pedestrain also waiting to cross. The truck didn't stop.

Police said paramedics checked out the pedestrian and that the person suffered minor injuries.

Police are searching for a light-coloured truck with damage to front end and roof. The driver is described a woman, possibly in her 30s, with blonde hair.
