A 37-year-old woman is in custody after an early morning stabbing at a house on 22nd Street West.

It happened just before 2 a.m. CST.

Police were called to the house and found a 34-year-old man suffering from what they describe as life-threatening injuries. He is at Royal University Hospital right now.

The woman, who is from La Loche, was taken into custody at the scene.

Police say the victim and suspect know each other and have a history of domestic violence.

Major crimes officers and crime scene analysts are doing the follow-up investigation.
