A 24-year-old man wanted in a series of armed robberies at the same gas station last fall will be in provincial court this morning.
Police caught him after a foot chase Saturday night through the downtown.
Patrol officers spotted the suspect just before midnight walking by 2nd Avenue and 22nd Street. They gave chase and, with some help from street gang unit officers, they caught him a few blocks away.
He was carrying marijuana and a knife.
The man was wanted for a rash of robberies at a service station on the 200 block of Primrose Drive. Police allege he held up the same station four times between September and December last year.
In each case, he was wearing a mask and waving a knife.
