Anthony Quattrocchi is charged with second degree murder and offering an indignity to a human body.

The 30 year old is alleged to have killed Benjamin Green, 38, sometime between June 22 and June 25. Police said he then hid the victim's body in a deep freeze.

This came to light when police were called to a house at 1004 Avenue K North last week.

They cordoned off the property and called in major crimes and forensics investigators. What had initially been classified as a suspicious death was soon upgraded to a homicide, and then murder.

They soon identified Quattrocchi as a person of interest.

He appeared by video link in provincial court this morning and was formally charged with Green's murder. He'll be back in court July 9.
