A plan to increase investment and build on the strengths of three neighbourhoods is making its way toward council.

Proposal winding its way through administration toward council

A plan to link three west-side neighbourhoods is moving toward council.

The Junction Improvement Strategy looks at the Pleasant Hill, Riversdale, and West Industrial neighbourhoods. It suggests ideas to bring these neighbourhoods together.

The municipal planning commission is recommending that it go to council.

"It's not a huge, ambitious plan, it's not a big redevelopment plan," said Alan Wallace, the city's director of planning and development.

"A lot of the recommendations that come out of there are simple, they are economical, but they have a big impact."

These include things like linking sidewalks and footpaths.
