New charges against teen involved in fatal crash
17-year-old passenger charged as "party to the offense"
A 17-year-old female involved in a fatal crash Monday is now facing several new charges.
She cannot be named because of her age.
Two students, Sarah Wensley and J.P. Haughey, both 17, from Bethlehem Catholic High School were killed when their car was rammed by a stolen truck.
Police have laid multiple charges against the driver and passenger of the truck. They're ages 17 and 21.
The new charges against the 17-year-old include:
- Two charges of party to the offence of dangerous operating of a motor vehicle while evading police causing death.
- One charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while evading police causing bodily harm.
Both women were in court Thursday to discuss bail matters. Court heard a bail hearing for the 21-year-old will be held next week, and a report on options for the 17-year-old will be done.
They've both been remanded in custody.
