Marquis Drive is set to open Saturday. 

The final phase of the $13-million project that connects Millar Avenue to Idylwyld Drive in Saskatoon is complete. This will allow drivers to travel from Wanuskewin Road to Highway 16. 

The city projects that the stretch of roadway will handle about 19,500 vehicles per day.

The construction of Marquis Drive started in 2010 when crews connected Wanuskewin Road to Millar Avenue. The work connecting Millar Avenue to Idylwyld Drive began in 2012.
