A man from the Blaine Lake area has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of his father.

Arnoldo Rey Jr. received a 12-year prison sentence for the crime in Saskatoon provincial court Monday. 

His father, Arnoldo Rey Sr., hadn't been seen since November 2012.

In October, RCMP found the man's body buried on his son's property near Krydor, 100 kilometres north of Saskatoon.

Rey Jr. will also serve a one year consecutive sentence for interfering with human remains.
