Man hurt walking through Saskatoon Tim Hortons' window
Lacerations to arm and face
A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after he walked through a plate glass window at a downtown Tim Hortons' restaurant this morning.
The accident happened at about 8:15 a.m. CST, just inside the lobby of Saskatoon Square. Entering the building, the man turned left and hit the floor-to-ceiling glass.
It shattered and cut his left arm and face. The main entrance to the restaurant is beside the glass that the man hit.
Passersby and building staff bandaged his wounds and set him in a chair waiting for paramedics to arrive.
His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Police said that the man was not texting as he walked. Rather, he walked into the window and hit it at such an angle that he broke the glass.
