Saskatoon Police say a man found dead in the cab of a pickup truck in Saskatoon was the victim of a homicide.

The body of Alexander "A.J." Holdner, 25, was discovered in a pickup truck on the shoulder of Circle Drive near the 11th Street exit late Thursday night.

One of the truck's rear wheels was detached and in the ditch.

Police called Holdner's death suspicious at the time but said they were waiting for an autopsy to make a determination.

They said in a news release Saturday that "the manner of his death was determined to be a homicide."

Police are saying Alexander Holdner's death is a homicide.

They did not say how he died.

Holdner had recently moved to Saskatoon from Young, Sask.
