Police have charged a man and woman following Saskatoon cocaine trafficking investigation

Saskatoon police have charged a 22-year-old man with attempted murder and breach of undertaking after a stabbing in the city that left a woman in hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the stabbing happened in a residence in the 800 block of Confederation Drive early Tuesday morning.

Police said the female victim, 39, suffered stab wounds to the neck and torso. Police describe those injuries as life threatening.

The woman remains in hospital, but there is no update on her condition at this time.

The man charged in this case is expected to make a first appearance on those charges in Provincial Court in Saskatoon today.
