Maidstone RCMP commander removed for 'inappropriate behaviour'

A detachment commander for Maidstone RCMP was removed from command for "inappropriate workplace behaviour."

The detachment commander for Maidstone RCMP has been removed from his post, and is now the subject of an internal investigation.

RCMP said the 20-year RCMP veteran was put on paid administrative on Dec. 5, after information was received about "inappropriate workplace behaviour".

RCMP are not releasing the commander's name. His name will be released if there are statutory charges.

The internal investigation started Monday morning.
