Travel along one section of the Yellowhead Highway is about to become safer and easier. The final 20 kilometres between Saskatoon and Clavet will be twinned.

The project will include a bypass north of Clavet and a CN railway crossing. It's designed to provide better access to one of the largest canola crush facilities in Canada.

Work is expected to begin this summer.

Ths is the first eligible project in Saskatchewan under the federal government's New Building Canada Fund. Ottawa will pay half of the eligible cost, up to $23 million. The province will pay the rest.
