Errant drivers smash into 2 businesses in Saskatoon
2 hurt in crash at Salvation Army Thrift Store
The Sally Ann crash happened around 2:15 p.m. CST. Police said the two people hurt were the driver and a person inside the building.
Firefighters used a winch to pull the vehicle out of the building and then extricated the driver. The fire department said in a release that the people hurt did not suffer life-threatening injuries. They also noted that the damage to the wall did not appear to affect the overall structural integrity of the building.
The convenience store crash happened around 10 a.m., on the 3300 block 33rd Street West. Police said a truck jumped the curb and smashed into a window of the store.
There were no injuries in that incident. The driver was given a ticket for driving without due care and attention.
