A Saskatoon court has heard that David Woods drove his truck to the location his wife's body was eventually found.

On Wednesday, the jury in Woods' murder trial drove the same route during a field trip.

Woods is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife Dorothy.

Dorothy Woods went missing from the couple's east-side home on the Remembrance Day weekend in 2011. Her body was discovered by police in a culvert near Blackstrap Lake, south of Saskatoon, two months later.

The Crown expects to call seven witnesses today in the David Woods murder trial.

The CBC's David Shield is court live-tweeting today's proceedings.
