It's a dream come true for Shelby Depko and Sierra Goldak.

On Sunday night, the two budding ballerinas will take the stage in Ballet Jorgen's production of Sleeping Beauty

The Toronto-based ballet company is touring communities across Canada, and at every stop, it allows a few talented local dancers to take the stage in a small role.

"I've never been in a ballet before," said Goldak. "And so that was pretty cool."

Both dancers have certainly made a solid commitment, dancing seven days a week, often for more than 20 hours.

"Our days are really, really busy," said Depko. "It's really hard to find time to do homework and practice dance when we're not at our studio."

Both dancers had just one day to learn their parts and get the choreography down before they take the stage. However, they're both confident about their skills.

"Preparing is just practicing every day, and being ready for whatever they can give us." said Depko.

Sleeping Beauty will be performed at TCU Place Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. CST.
