Andrea Menard is a star on the big and small screens and is no stranger to the theatrical stage.
Her first love, however, is music and she's recorded a new CD called 'Lift.'
To promote her album she's on a cross country tour.
Menard will 'lift' crowds at the Broadway Theatre Sunday night.
Fresh Air Theatre
Embrace Theatre will be touring across Saskatchewan with a 30 minute play based on stories that were submitted by fans online.
The production, 'Saskatchewan Outdoors' combines puppetry, poetry and storytelling to entertain the whole family.
Each performance will be followed by theatre workshops for the audience. It's a great chance for young people to learn about theatre.
This weekend, a sneak peak will be performed at the Farmer's Market.
The show takes place Saturday at 10:00 am, and will be followed by a theatre workshop. An hour later, the cast will do it all over again.
The season isn't here quite yet, but there's no reason why the party can't get started now.
Oral Fuentes and the Reggae Boys will take over the city this Saturday.
The gig is a fundraiser for the Saskatoon Reggae Festival.
There will be a dance performance by Sephoria, lots of food, and of course, plenty of music.
'Every little thing's gonna be alright' at the Cosmo Seniors Centre in Saskatoon.
Regina & Area
Short & Sweet
Regina Little Theatre is celebrating spring with its One-Act Cabaret.
This is a two night event full of several different shows.
Performances range from a 10 minute show about a man who receives a phone call from his daughter in distress at a bus stop, to a 50 minute comedy circling around artsy college students living in the same dorm.
It's a perfect theatre sampler and it's all happening Friday and Saturday night at the Regina Performing Arts Centre.
We no longer follow trends from Milan or Paris. These days, fashion designers from right here at home are setting their own pace.
Saskatchewan Fashion Week is a celebration of clothing, makeup hair and accessories.
Designers include Hillberg & Berk, Sova Design and Jaycee Wall.
The party started on Thursday and is strutting right into the weekend.
Each evening, runway shows start at 7:30pm.
After that, of course, you need to hit the town.
After parties will be held each night as well. All the action is happening at the Sound Stage.
Bad To The Bone
George Thorogood is best known for his hit song 'Bad To The Bone' but he's released 16 studio albums and tours tirelessly.
Thorogood is back on the road with his band The Destroyers and he's been in this province for a couple of days.
Thursday it's a show at TCU Place in Saskatoon and on Friday night Thorogood will be in the Queen City for a show at Casino Regina.
Have 'One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer' with a musical institution this weekend.
