It was started by Jane Jacobs, an urban activist who celebrated the idea of community.
Every year, people meet to go on walks that explain the history and uniqueness of the space you live in.
In Saskatoon, there are bicycle tours and walks scheduled to explore more than 20 topics. From the Meewasin Trail to the acoustics of the city you can see and hear it all.
The walks are Friday-Sunday in Saskatoon.

It's a celebration of visual and performance art happening in one of Saskatoon's most lively spaces.
The Broadway Art Fest is back for another year. This year the festival is partnering with the Cinergie Film Festival, which celebrates film, lights and art.
You can see live music, outdoor film screenings and activities for kids.
Friday night there's a Caribbean Carnival at the Broadway Theatre, or you can just take a leisurely stroll down Broadway as you browse the art and do crafts with the kids on Saturday.
Saturday evening enjoy the light show as you are entertained by the acrobatics of Nova Circus under the stars.

This musical is based on the story of Don Quizote and is a play within a play. It features well loved songs like The Impossible Dream.
The Globe Theatre is presenting this classic story and you can see it in the round. The theatre says it's "an adventure where spirit, comedy and romance unite."
Man of La Mancha is on now and runs until May 11th.
