The Northern Lights Bluegrass & Old Tyme Festival committee is holding it's annual auditions.

You can tap your toes right along to musicians as they vie for a spot on the roster of the annual Summer festival.

This event is free and all ages are welcome.

That's Saturday afternoon at Saskatoon Ideas Inc. That's in the Farmer's Market building.

Adventure in Your Backyard

It's something many of us reserve for vacations someplace else but why not take the time to be a tourist right where you live?

Jane's Walk is a celebration of the place you call home. 

It was started by Jane Jacobs, an urban activist who celebrated the idea of community.

Every year, people meet to go on walks that explain the history and uniqueness of the space you live in.

In Saskatoon, there are bicycle tours and walks scheduled to explore more than 20 topics. From the Meewasin Trail to the acoustics of the city you can see and hear it all.

The walks are Friday-Sunday in Saskatoon.

Regina has it's own Jane's walk as well. Check the website for details.

On Broadway

It's a celebration of visual and performance art happening in one of Saskatoon's most lively spaces. 

Cinergie Festival

Celebrate art, light and film at Festival Cinergie this weekend in Saskatoon. (

The Broadway Art Fest is back for another year. This year the festival is partnering with the Cinergie Film Festival, which celebrates film, lights and art.

You can see live music, outdoor film screenings and activities for kids. 

Friday night there's a Caribbean Carnival at the Broadway Theatre, or you can just take a leisurely stroll down Broadway as you browse the art and do crafts with the kids on Saturday.

Saturday evening enjoy the light show as you are entertained by the acrobatics of Nova Circus under the stars.

There will be chances for collectors to find that rare comic and meet the writers in person.

Safari Jeff will be at the Northgate Mall in Regina this weekend. (

Safari Jeff is a nature videographer and field researcher and has been all over the world sharing what he knows about reptiles and the animal kingdom.

In his show, he explains about the animals and their role in this world and the coolest part, he usually has them in his hand right in front of you.

Make sure you stick around after the show for a chance to get up close and personal with these creatures.

The shows are Friday and Saturday in Regina.

Its a story that's survived through the ages. Man of La Mancha is the story of a man made crazy by false accusations and shame.

The musical Man of La Mancha is on stage now at Globe Theatre. (

This musical is based on the story of Don Quizote and is a play within a play. It features well loved songs like The Impossible Dream.

The Globe Theatre is presenting this classic story and you can see it in the round. The theatre says it's "an adventure where spirit, comedy and romance unite."

Man of La Mancha is on now and runs until May 11th.
