Storytime

It's a global celebration of storytime and it's being celebrated this weekend.

World Storytelling Day is celebrated every year on the Spring Equinox.

The idea is to get as many people as possible to tell as many stories in as many languages as possible on the same day.

Dive full on into the day starting on Friday night. There's a story circle for adults called Dragons and Monsters that's happening at the Unitarian Centre.

Then on Saturday afternoon get the whole family in on the action at Pooh Corner for more stories at the Francis Morrison Library.

Salt-Water Moon is a story of Mary Snow who is young and engaged to another man and Jacob Mercer, her former beau.

They meet on a moonlit night as Mary is waiting for her finance and instead it's Jacob who visits her.

Jacob is set on winning her back.

This is a love story full of nostalgia and 1920's charm.

It's running at the Globe until April 6th.

Mimes will play along as they tell the story of characters who are so excited about a symphony concert, they try to join the band.

There will be tap dancing, and tons of interference on the poor musicians.

The Regina Symphony musicians will be in fine form alongside the Magic Circle Mime Company.

All the fun happens Saturday afternoon at the Conexus Arts Centre.
