Saskatoon police are investigating following an accident Sunday night where a child on a bike was killed.

It happened around 7 p.m. CST on Carrothers Court.

Neighbours said a truck backed up on the cul-de-sac and a small child was injured. An MD Ambulance crew arrived and shortly after, the little boy was pronounced dead.

The boy's mother Breanna Shier identified him as Kreestyn Bear.

"He was just three years old," she said. "He was just out riding his bike like any other day. And then a truck pulling a trailer ran right over him."
