Boy, 12, charged with arson
Saskatoon boy scheduled to appear in Provincial Court today
A 12-year-old Saskatoon boy is charged with four incidents of arson.
The most recent took place June 9, when two portable toilets were set on fire at a park in the 700 block of Appleby Drive, Saskatoon Police Service said.
On May 6, police and fire were called to a pair of suspicious fires. Fences and a shed had been set on fire in the 300 block of Avenue T South and a garage was also set ablaze. Police said these fires caused thousands of dollars worth of damage.
On May 4, police officers and firefighters responded to the scene of a vehicle fire on the 1500 block of 20th Street West.
Police said no one was injured by the fires.
The boy is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court today.
