Bill Doyle is stepping down as president of PotashCorp on July 1.

He'll be replaced by Jochen Tilk, most recently president of Inmet Mining in Toronto.

Doyle will stay on with PotashCorp as a senior adviser until June, 2015.

In a news release, PotashCorp board chair Dallas Howe said that it took the company three years to find Doyle's successor. It evaluated internal and external candidates.

Doyle spent almost three decades working at PotashCorp. The Saskatoon-based firm is the world's largest crop nutrient company.
