Bear spray attack mystifies Saskatoon police

Police are searching for a man who bear sprayed an employee at a Northumberland Ave. business, then left, without taking anything.

Saskatoon police are investigating a bear spray attack last night.

Police said a man came into a business on the 900 block of Northumberland Avenue around 7:30 pm CST.

The man sprayed an employee in the face, and then left, without taking anything.

Police have no motive for the crime.

Two possible accomplices were seen outside the business who left with the suspect.

Police are looking for an aboriginal man in his early 20s. He was wearing all black clothing and had a black mask covering his face.

MD Ambulance treated the victim at the store. The person did not need to be taken to hospital.
