Police say charges are pending after an accident Tuesday morning sent a motorcyclist to hospital with serious injuries.
It happened just after 10 a.m. CST at the 51st Street and Idywyld Drive intersection. Witnesses tell CBC that it appeared a truck went through a red light and hit the motorcycle, which was also towing a small trailer.
The force of the collision knocked the rider into the ditch.
Police diverted traffic around the busy intersection until late in the afternoon. They are still trying to piece together the exact sequence of events.
The bike's rider remains in hospital. He's in stable condition.
