The Yorkton Terriers will battle for the top spot in the final on Sunday at Canada's national junior A championship, The RBC Cup.
After a rough start at the competition—beginning with an 0-2 record after losses to Toronto Lakeshore Patriots and the Vernon Vipers—the Saskatchewan team has won 3 straight to earn its chance to play for the cup in the Championship game.
In Saturday afternoon semi-final action, the Terriers beat out the championship's hometown team, the Vernon Vipers, 6-3.
The Terriers will face-off against the Carleton Place Canadians in the final match of the contest. The teams faced off earlier in the tournament and the Terriers came out on top with a 3-1 win.
The Yorkton team has only been to the national final game one time before. The last SJHL team to capture the RBC Cup title was the Humboldt Broncos in 2008.
