An elderly woman has survived a house fire in Regina, but her four cats were not so lucky.

Damage to house estimated at $150,000

An elderly woman has survived a house fire in Regina, but her four cats were not so lucky.

It happened around 7 p.m. CST Tuesday at a home on the 400 block of Connaught St.

Officials said the woman, 70, called 911 but was overcome by smoke.

There was no immediate word on her condition Wednesday morning.

Crews found the cats inside the house. A dog was also unaccounted for Tuesday night.

The cause of the blaze isn't known. The damage is estimated at $150,000.
