Saskatoon fire crews rescued a woman from a flooded-out car on the outskirts of the city Saturday morning.

A woman called emergency crews for help at 5:12 a.m. CST.

She told dispatchers, "water is coming into my car," but did not know her exact location.

They used the woman's cell phone to track her down near the off-ramp at Boychuk Drive and Highway 16.

The water rescue team pulled the woman from her vehicle, which was submerged in about a metre of water.

Officials said she didn't suffer serious injuries, but was taken to hospital to be checked out.

There is no word on how the car ended up in the water.
