A woman has died after an early morning fire in Regina's North Central neighbourhood on Saturday. 

Police were called out to the 1300 block of Montague Street at around 12:30 a.m. CST.

Emergency services on the scene attended to a female who was burned in the fire, but she died. Her name is not being released.  

The coroner's office is investigating the circumstances that caused the woman's death, while fire crews are determining how the fire stared. 

Police say they will investigate any criminal aspects to the case.
