A woman from Tobin Lake, Sask., has died from injuries in a snowmobile crash, RCMP say.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon about 1.5 kilometres south of White Fox, Sask., a village about 270 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.

Police said the woman, 40, was thrown from her machine as she crossed a grid road. She did not have any passengers. She was with two other snowmobilers at the time of the crash.

The woman was taken to hospital in Nipawin and died of her injuries Monday morning.

Police noted the woman was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No name was released.
