Woman died in Yellow Quill fire, police confirm
Police have confirmed that a woman died in a house fire last week on Yellow Quill First Nation.
She's been identified as Penny Ann Whitehead, 45.
Whitehead’s remains were found inside the rubble of her house following the May 10 fire.
She was missing around the time of the fire and it was believed then that the remains were hers.
Positive identification was made following an autopsy, the RCMP said.
The fire remains under investigation.
Yellow Quill First Nation is about 260 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
