Woman accused of 2nd-degree murder in Saskatchewan's north

A 44-year-old woman from Grandmother's Bay, in Saskatchewan's north, has been charged with second-degree murder following a reported stabbing on Sunday, RCMP say.

A 44-year-old woman from Grandmother's Bay, in Saskatchewan's north, has been charged with second-degree murder following a reported stabbing on Sunday, RCMP say.

According to the Stanley Mission detachment of the RCMP, officers were dispatched around 4 a.m. CST Sunday to follow up on a report of a stabbing in Grandmother's Bay.

When officers arrive they found a man, 37, was dead from injuries he had sustained.

They identified the man as Adam Eninew, from Grandmother's Bay.

They said the accused, who lived in the same home as the victim, was arrested a short time after the incident.
