A woman from Maryfield, Sask., is dead following a two-vehicle collision on an icy highway Wednesday afternoon.
The 24-year-old woman was driving a car on Highway 48 about five kilometres west of Fairlight around 3:40 p.m. CST when she was involved in crash with a pickup truck.
She died at the scene, the RCMP said.
The man driving the pickup truck was taken to hospital in Regina by STARS helicopter. It's believed his injuries are not life-threatening, the RCMP said.
Police said the car, an Impala, crossed the centre line and hit the truck.
The highway was icy and snow-covered at the time, although it's not known if road conditions were a factor in the crash.
Police haven't released the woman's name.
