A pedestrian overpass in Saskatoon has been closed for safety reasons.

An unsafe pedestrian overpass means some walkers, and cyclists in Saskatoon will have to go a little further this morning.

The overpass is on Idywyld Drive, on the west side, and connects Northridge Drive and 45th Street.

The city says the stairs are no longer safe and must be repaired.

Instead, people are being asked to use the walkway on Circle Drive.

No word on how long the repairs might take.
