Weapon-wielding weekend in Regina

Police responded to three weapons-related offences in Regina this weekend, including a stabbing, a pepper spray attack and a report of gun shots fired.

Stabbing, pepper spray attack, shots fired this weekend in separate incidents in Regina

It was a busy weekend for police in Regina after several weapons-related offences.

On Friday, police were called to the 1100 block of Retallack Street after a reports of a man being stabbed.

Police say the man was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds.

Later Friday night, police were dispatched to Saskatchewan Drive and Albert Street for reports of gun shots fired.

When they arrived on scene, just after 1:30 a.m. CST,  police found a vehicle with damage from a bullet.

Investigations continue into both of those separate incidents.

On Saturday night, around 5:30 p.m. CST, officers were called to an area near 12th Avenue and Broad Street.

Police said a group of young men were pepper sprayed by a second group of young men.

The first group chased the other group off.

That resulted in officers arresting and charging four young men under the age of 18 with weapon-related offences.
