Vehicle found, Regina man still missing after search

A search on the ground and in the air for a 35-year-old man missing from Regina hasn't turned up any leads for investigators. Shayne King was last seen in Stoughton, Sask. Tuesday night. His abandoned vehicle was found near Grenfell, Sask. Friday.

Police have found a vehicle belonging to a 35-year-old Regina man who was last seen in Stoughton, Sask. late Tuesday night, but there's still no trace of the missing man himself. 

Shayne King was reported missing to police Wednesday. Regina police say he was visiting a friend in Stoughton and began heading back to Regina just after 11 p.m. CST Tuesday. He has not been heard from since.

Police and RCMP search Grenfell area

RCMP investigators found King's orange 2009 Dodge Caliber on a grid road near Grenfell, Sask. Friday at around 9 a.m. CST.

Grenfell is approximately 125 kilometres east of Regina on the Trans-Canada highway. It's a 90-kilometre drive north of Stoughton on Highway 47.

Investigators started a ground and air search Friday in the area where King's vehicle was found, but found no other sign of the man.

The search involved a number of police units including the Regina Police Dog Section, RCMP Search and Rescue, the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association and the Traffic Reconstruction Team which uses unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with cameras for searching. 

Police request public help to find King

King is described as being five feet seven inches and 180 pounds with light brown hair, a short buzz cut and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing glasses, dark blue pants, a grey T-shirt and steel-toed work boots. King has tattoos of two skulls on his right shoulder. He also has a scar on the right side of his forehead and a lump on his forehead from a metal plate.

Police are asking the public for its help in locating King. Anyone with more information is asked to contact Regina police or Crime Stoppers.
