Seconds after an SUV crashed and burst into flames on a Saskatchewan highway, a Good Samaritan helped pull the driver out of the burning vehicle, the RCMP says.
Now a 20-year-old man from Val Marie, Sask., is in hospital undergoing treatment.
The crash happened Wednesday around 6 p.m. CST on Highway 4 near Val Marie in the southwest part of province, the RCMP said.The crash happened on Highway 4 close to Val Marie, Sask.
The southbound SUV entered the ditch, hit an embankment and then rolled.
Shortly after the rollover, the vehicle burst into flames with the driver still inside.
A passing motorist pulled over, called 911 and was able to remove the lone occupant from the vehicle.
The victim was airlifted by STARS ambulance to hospital in Regina.
Police didn't immediately have any information about the motorist who pulled the man from the SUV.
The condition of the man in hospital wasn't immediately available.
