About 30 students are out of their residence at the University of Regina due to flooding.

Officials said on Sunday night a pipe burst on the third floor of the north residence tower.

It happened after someone left a window open when the temperature was below -30C.

Crews were working Monday to restore the rooms and the nearby offices that had to close.

Most student residents have found other accommodations.

Meanwhile, a second pipe burst on campus in the Education Building, causing minor damage.
