Truck hits medical scooter at Carlyle
Man, 84, in hospital
An elderly man is in hospital with serious injuries after his medical scooter was hit by a pickup truck near Carlyle, Sask.
It happened around 2:40 p.m. CST Thursday at the intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 13 on the edge of town, the RCMP said.
Police said the 84-year-old driver of the medi-scooter was struck by a westbound pickup that was pulling a covered trailer.
He sustained serious injuries and after first being taken to Arcola Hospital, he was airlifted to Regina General Hospital.
Police haven't said what caused the accident. They're investigating.
