Truck driver dies in crash near Forget, Sask.
Head-on collision also leaves 2nd person injured
A truck driver is dead after a head-on crash near Forget, Sask. on Thursday afternoon.
The crash involving a semi-truck and a three-ton truck happened at 1:30 p.m. on Highway 13, around five kilometres east of the village.
RCMP found the driver of the three-ton truck dead at the scene.
The semi driver received serious facial injuries and was taken to Regina General Hospital.
The names haven't been released.
Traffic on Highway 13 was detoured around the accident scene until around 9 p.m.
Police are investigating. Road and weather conditions are not considered to be contributing factors.
Forget is about 156 kilometres southeast of Regina.
It was the second fatal crash Thursday involving a truck driver. A semi driver died near Raymore when his semi-truck slammed into a train during foggy conditions.
