Too hot for some trains to move at full speed through the west
How hot is it? It is so hot that Canadian National has issued orders for some of its trains to slow down in Western Canada.
According to the company, the CN main line through B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan has been affected by ongoing daily high temperatures in excess of 30 C.
The company said the go slow orders may result in some delays.
"We are taking every opportunity to expedite affected traffic," the company said in a statement issued Thursday. "We expect the slow orders to be lifted within the next few days as the weather clears."
