How cool was this? Thousands of fans braved chilly weather to attend a parade and a rally today at the Saskatchewan legislature.

The guests of honour were none other than the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who won the Grey Cup Sunday with a 45-23 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

There's no better feeling than to have won this Grey Cup right here in Saskatchewan where it belongs.- Riders quarterback Darian Durant

The celebration began with a parade of team members along the 'Green Mile' on Albert Street and ended with a gigantic rally in front of the Legislative Building.

From the balcony of the building, players took turns hoisting the silver Cup over their heads.

"We had a lot of ups and down this season but you know, we stuck together, you guys," quarterback Darian Durant told the cheering throng.

"And now this is the ultimate reward at the end of the day. There's no better feeling than to have won this Grey Cup right here in Saskatchewan where it belongs."
