A social services agency in Yorkton known as the Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours, or SIGN, was broken into during the long weekend, RCMP say.

Thieves made off with electronics equipment worth about $1,400. Police did not provide any specifics on what the equipment was, beyond describing it as used for different programs at SIGN.

According to police, the theft was discovered Tuesday morning, following the three-day Family Day long weekend. RCMP said the break-in could have happened on any of the three days.
