Three youths who were looking for interesting locations to practice their photography skills came upon a disturbing scene — the body of a homeless person in an abandoned barn.
According to Saskatoon RCMP, the teens were taking pictures for a school project on April 4.
Around mid-morning, they phoned RCMP to report that they had come across a person, who wasn't moving, inside an old barn in the Rural Municipality of Corman Park.
Officers were sent and confirmed that the person, a 60-year-old man, was dead.
Police said Tuesday that they are still waiting for an autopsy report. However, they said his death is not suspicious, adding that exposure to the elements is considered a factor.
The man, who was known to police from past encounters, was last seen by officer in mid-March. He was not the subject of a missing person report.
RCMP said he was a Saskatchewan resident with no fixed address.
