St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon will be open to visitors as of Wednesday morning, officials from the region's health authority say.

The hospital has been closed to visitors since Thursday, following an outbreak of norovirus, a type of stomach illness.

According to the region, 35 patients and staff were sick.

The region said Tuesday that with no new cases in the past four days it should be fine to allow visitors.

People were being reminded, however, about the importance of good hygiene — especially hand-washing routines after using a washroom.
