Snow and freezing rain is expected to fall in much of southern Saskatchewan this weekend.

Environment Canada had forecasted weather watches for most of the weekend, but upgraded them to warnings on Saturday evening.

Freezing rain is expected to hit parts of southern Saskatchewan tonight and there are winter weather warnings for dozens of cities and towns including Kindersley, Moose Jaw and Estevan.

The region is expected to receive 10 to 20 centimetres of snow by Monday evening. As a result, dangerous winter driving conditions and poor visibility are expected for much of the weekend.
